We wish him all the best and the band intend to continue with a replacement drummer asap. Here is a message from the KD guys on the matter:

We’re sad to announce that Chris has decided that his time in Kyoto Drive has come to an end in favour of pursuing other interests in his life. I know a lot of bands say this but there is most definitely no ill will between Chris and us, he will still be recording our demos, standing on the side of the stage at shows, and he will still be a massive part of our lives. We’re gutted to see him leave, but we wish him all the best as he starts this new chapter in his life, post-Kyoto Drive.

Huge love goes out to the big man, if you see him at shows, make sure you show him some love too!

We will now start the search for the new drummer, wish us luck!

‎- So Long And Thanks For All The Fish :) we are sad to say we have decided to call it an end. We have had a wonderful time and couldn’t finish on a nicer note :) Thank you to every one who supported us in anyway, saw us live, bought some merch or just said hi. A MASSIVE thanks must go toENGINEER RECORDS so thank you. Please don’t forget to support Ian with his amazing studio work Emeline Productions (Ian Sadler) and Mikee with his solo work Mikee J Reds. We shall have one final show which is to be announced. Take care and thanks for listening.

We very heart broken  by this news but also know this won’t be the last we hear from them.

However they are now back in the studio to finish off a couple of new songs for you all to hear. Is it a new direction? Not exactly but it is with more of a maturer approach to their sound.

Well I guess we shall just wait and see. Guitars start tomorrow at Emeline Studios.
